Where to download hgt files

Joerd can be used to download, merge and generate tiles from digital elevation data - tilezen/joerd

Enjoy new version of Locus Map application, mainly new shading system, merged compass and satellite screen, vector worl map and many more

My problem is that I can't find anywhere to view the .hgt file data I've collected without downloading 3rd party viewing software and I'd rather not take that chance

Maybe a question for @Arndt, I presume for BRouter to make better routing decisions involving elevation the RD5 files would need to incorporate the new HGT/ Geotiff data?
